JOIN THE RADICAL QUEST TO SOLVE ONE OF THE MOST COMPLEX MYSTERIES OF CHRONIC ILLNESS:
CHRONIC INFLAMMATORY RESPONSE SYNDROME
Approximately 45% of the US population suffers from a chronic illness. Many of these illnesses, including obesity, neurological disease, autoimmunity, mental disorders, cancer, and chronic infections, are on the rise. Yet, despite multiple scientific and medical efforts, the underlying causal factors of such diseases remain poorly understood and many patients continue to suffer.
At the heart of this mystery is our evolving understanding of how our environment, specifically, chronic exposure to environmental toxins, impacts human health. Increasing awareness has emerged on a relatively unknown, though highly prevalent and serious, illness called Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS).
CIRS is an acquired dysregulation of the immune system that may be triggered by exposure to specific microbial toxins produced by bacteria and fungi/mold that grow in the interior of water-damaged buildings, tick bites, certain algae (i.e., cyanobacteria, pfiesteria, and dinoflagellates), as well as recluse spider bites.
An estimated 20-25% of the US population has been tagged as susceptible to developing CIRS at some point over the lifespan. In this patient population, chronic exposure to biotoxins has been found to impair the function of many organs, leading to a long list of unexplained disabling symptoms, and ultimately cause brain abnormalities that may result in severe cognitive impairment and neurological injury.
It is for these reasons that CIRS is often misdiagnosed as many other diseases, including chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, autoimmune disorder, and/or mental health disorders. In more severe cases, patients can be diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s, and/or Parkinson’s.
Fortunately, the future looks incredibly bright! Medical practitioners and other experts are increasingly becoming trained and aware about the diagnosis and treatment of CIRS. There is now over two decades of research documenting and validating the use of a medical treatment protocol (i.e., The Shoemaker Protocol) that corrects these abnormalities and can put the illness into remission. We are at the brink of a scientific and medical revolution that will change the way we think about health and end a lot of suffering.
work with christian one on one
If you would like to have additional support as you are healing from CIRS, Christian is available for one-on-one consultations and coaching.
Please note that he cannot prescribe or medically diagnose as he is NOT a medical practitioner. You should always consult with your practitioner whenever you incorporate medications or supplements.
Christian works with patients who need guidance as they move along the steps of the Shoemaker protocol (although he is also very open about helping you incorporate other supportive add-ons outside the standard Shoemaker protocol). The combination of his scientific thinking and practical experience as a hyper-sensitive CIRS patient puts him in a unique situation to understand the illness at a very nuanced level.
Christian’s goals are:
1) To help you and your doctor ensure that you reach each treatment milestone in the most efficient way possible.
2) When appropriate, to help you develop nuanced understanding around CIRS.
Consultations are typically meant to support ongoing care services from your medical practitioner. Often, patients are already working with a Shoemaker practitioner, but he has also worked with clients who are working with a non-Shoemaker practitioner. In some cases, clients may not have access to a medical practitioner at the time of the consultations.
Consultations may include any of the following:
Recommendations for Shoemaker certified practitioners that best suit your needs.
A thorough breakdown of CIRS-related test results, such as:
Visual Contrast Sensitivity (VCS)
NeuroQuant reports (including General Morphometry, Triage Brain Atrophy, Seizure, Dementia, and MVID reports)
GENIE
CIRS blood markers
MARCoNs from Microbiology DX
SinusKey from MicroGen DX
Environmental dust testing (ERMI/HERTSMI-2, Endo, Actino)
Tick borne testing (IGenex, MDL)
Prodrome Scan test
Stool testing (GI Map, Genova GI Effects)
Recommendations for tests that best suit your health and financial situation.
Customized recommendations for cleaning protocols that take into account your biotoxin-reactivity profile and ongoing environmental exposures.
Help you identify sources of ongoing exposure that may be unknowingly stalling your treatment.
Recommendations on supplementation (please note that I cannot prescribe or medically diagnose as I am NOT a medical practitioner, and you should always consult with your practitioner whenever you incorporate medications or supplements).
